Which the TF2 SDK being made public, it is now possible to completely rewrite, easily mod or possibly port the game to other platforms. After looking it up myself it seems like the PS Vita has just enough horsepower to run TF2 at it's bare minimum spec requirements but I am sure with time and polish it could be made better.
